Twined, twill (diagonal), S-twist, rightward work direction, outside work face, coiled over rim. Eight rows of three-strand twining at the base/start. The start is two small mats of two rows twined and crossed. Four rows of plain twining over paired warps. Rim wrapping worn off. Willow warp and weft. Two hanging loops of six strings, not woven, S-twist cordage, possibly cotton or dogbane.
