Plain twining, Z-twist, with two rows of S-twist at the rim. Start is two small crossed bundles. Design in four vertical sections with an extra design element on one side. One row of three-strand twining near start, one row near the turn-up, and one near rim, all Z-twist. One face overlay and layered weft overlay. Warp is split spruce root in irregular split single sections and pairs. Warp is spruce root. Overlay is in bear grass and Woodwardia fimbriata fern filaments dyed with alder bark. Red-brown overlay on top of white overlay, creating two layers in some areas. Four rows of mud-dyed root near start. Rim is clipped off close to the last row of twining.
