Basket, Cylindrical Twined Bag

"Sally" bag. Warp is an S-twist cordage mix of cotton, dogbane, and sisal twine. Base weft is commercial cotton webbing (e. g. a shoelace), then dogbane weft at the turn-up. Sides are cotton weft. Design is horizontal bands of parallelograms in red, pink, fuchsia, green, blue, and lavender wool in false embroidery over plain twining. Elk hide rim cover attached with blanket stitch. One piece of commercial leather on side. Two long leather straps. Start is a tied bundle with multiple cordage string. Tag reads "Yarn root bag -Vera Jones-Umatilla."
