Plain open twining, Z-twist, spruce root warp and weft. Design of two vertical bands and two horizontal bands in mud-dyed root. There are three bands of crossed warps, two rows each, crossed over the same direction. Three-strand twining: two rows at base, two rows at mid-section, and two rows just below rim. One floating weft. Start is six bundles of three, twined right away. Older style Coos Bay clam basket.
