Plain twining, S-twist, rightward work direction, outside work face. Start is 4x4 crossed and wrapped. Six rows of three-strand twining at the start and two rows at the turn-up. One face overlay in white bear grass and Woodwardia fern filaments dyed red with alder bark, some carried under in back. Hazel or willow warps and pine root weft. Rim is clipped off close to the last row.
